Distance Learning Course Description



COURSE NAME: Probability and Statistics

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Glens Falls

INSTRUCTOR:

FULL YEAR

COURSE PREREQUISITES: This course is open to students who have successfully completed either the Math
A-Math B sequence or the newer Algebra-Geometry-Algebra II/Trigonometry sequence.


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Topics include permutations, combinations, sample spaces, standard
deviations, and normal distributions. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking skills involving real world data and
inferential statistics.

OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Students will sit for a locally prepared final examination.
