COURSE PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of Spanish 3 and/or the attainment of Checkpoint B on the
NYS Modern Language Syllabus.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This is an advanced-level course that follows the 3rd year Regents
course in high school. Course objectives are the improvement of students' oral and written expression of the
language through sustained listening and speaking practice and a variety of reading and writing assignments
and exercises. Emphasis is placed on current pronunciation and a deeper understanding of Hispanic culture
and history.

OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: 3 College Credits through North Country Community College for $50.
Course grade is determined by the student's facility with speaking, vocabulary and grammar quizzes,
homework assignments, and unit exams.
