Distance Learning Course Description


COURSE NAME: AP Psychology

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Gloversville

INSTRUCTOR: Shannon Egan

Full Year

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Must be a Junior or Senior in good standing capable of handling
AP level work. Students must be able to work independently.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: As stated in the AP Course Description (2007), the purpose of this
course is "to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes
of human beings and other animals."

The course content will be integrated with case studies, experimentation, and student research. This course
culminates in an Advanced Placement Examination in Psychology which enables students to receive college
credit for high performance on the exam.
