COURSE PREREQUISITES: This course is usually taken in grade nine.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: The course provides a more advanced study of grammar,
dictation, reading of oral selections, reading comprehension questions and use of derivatives in English.
Cultural content is integrated in all phases of instruction. This course of study is designed to begin
preparing students for the Comprehensive Examination to be given the following year, at the end of
level III.
