BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Sports and Entertainment Marketing takes students on a
step-by-step journey through the world of marketing.

Students encounter and learn about the key functions of marketing and how those functions are applied to
sports and entertainment.

Major areas that will be covered are professional sports, theme parks, TV and movie industries, concert and
arena productions, and theme restaurants. Students will also obtain an understanding of the career options
available within the fields of sports and entertainment.
