Autism is an epidemic currently facing as many as 13 million people throughout the world and hundreds of children locally. In New York State, the Upper Hudson Valley Region has the highest population of these individuals outside of New York City.

Project LINK (Learning Initiatives Necessary for Kids) is a local 501(c)3 agency that has trained more than 250 educators and parents involved in teaching children with autism.

Several of our local legislators approached the folks at Project Link and asked if they could expand their tri-annual training programs (Oct.,March, and July) to the larger rural community of upstate New York.

They have come to our distance learning schools for help because they see us as an effective way to reach the greater education and parent community.

Project Link is working with the Distance Learning staff and regional coordinators in a plan to utilize the DL network to broadcast a training series this fall to be made available to as many Distance Learning sites as possible.

Project LINK will provide access for our community to one of the nations leading experts,
Dr. James Partington Ph.D. BCBA, owner of Behavior Analyst's Inc.and author of the ABLLS-R as well as a variety of other publications.

Teach Your Children Well - Series One

It is his and Project LINK’s intention to provide a comprehensive learning experience for parents, educators and administrators.

November 1st, 5th, and 7th, 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
  • The list of DL sites that will be receiving the program will be announced soon.
