Spring 2010
- Maple Hill is offering a series of Professional Development Collaboration and Networking Opportunities that will allow teachers from different school districts to share 21st Century Skills. Teachers and teaching assistants will be able to share lessons and projects that have been successful in the classroom.

January 7th 3:15 – 4:30 Math specific

January 14th 3:15 – 4:30 Global 9/10/USHistory/PIG/Economics

January 21st 3:15 – 4:30 English 9/10

January 28th 3:15 – 4:30 English 11/12
February 4th 3:15 – 4:30 Earth Science / Biology

February 11th 3:15 – 4:30 Chemistry

February 18th 3:15 – 4:30 Physics
 

Detailed agendas for each session will be provided one week prior to interested teachers to help prepare for open dialog and sharing. Please use the contact information below to confirm your attendance. There can only be three DL school sites for these workshops. You are encouraged to invite neighboring school districts. There is no cost for these workshops.

Maple Hill
is also offering three sessions on Curriculum Mapping Hosted by Donna Watson Director of Curriculum and Instruction Schodack Central School District.

Spring 2010 - Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Duanesburg and Schoharie are offering a series of three workshops:

Interactive Conversations with Teachers.

The purpose of these three workshops is to examine, reflect and design lesson plans that make the teacher more effective in their classrooms.


The workshops will be presented by
Anna Marie Collins, distinguished teacher trainer. The highlight of these workshops will be the introduction of instructional strategies that focus on the use of higher level thinking skills. The sessions will be presented in the DL rooms via the Distance Learning Network.

March 24th 3:15 - 5:15 Hosted at Duanesburg, connecting to BKW and Schoharie

April 14th 3:15 - 5:15 Hosted at Schoharie, connecting to BKW and Duanesburg

For those in the WSWHE BOCES area, if your school or a neigh-boring school has a Distance Learning Lab, then it is possible to have your transportation staff attend courses in your area.

more convenient and cost saving way for your transportation staff to attend training and fulfill their state requirements.
