Distance Learning Course Description


COURSE NAME: AP U.S. History

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Middleburgh

INSTRUCTOR: Frederick L. "Derick" Kopff

FULL YEAR

Meximum Enrollment All Sites Total: 25 (15 @ receive sites)

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Strongly suggest a prior AP course (with a 3 or higher on the AP exam) or teacher
recommendation.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This course will cover material generally covered in 2 separate
semester long courses in college. We will look at North American history (Pre-U.S. and even Pre-Columbian
Societies) through the near-present.

As part of our examination of U.S. History, we will be reading a college level textbook and using primary
source documents, maps, works of art, statistical tables, watching movies, reading books and essays
(among other resources), and talking with each other.


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Please note: students enrolled in this course are required
to take the AP exam.
