BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE:
Students can take up to two years of accounting beginning in their junior year. During the first year students
are provided with a basic understanding of double-entry accounting. The course covers the introduction of
the accounting cycle for both a service and a merchandising business. The second year continues with
greater detail and is encouraged for students interested in a career in accounting. It is also well suited for
students who anticipate continued study of Business Administration and Business Management.
