COURSE PREREQUISITES: 2 years of math including Geometry


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Applied Intermediate Algebra is an elective course
designed for students who have completed two years of high school mathematics. Students study
advanced algebra topics such as: equations and equalities (linear, absolute value, radical, national, and
quadratic), solving systems of equations (linear, Linear-quadratic, 3-variable) and using matrices,
polynomials and rational functions, waves and angular momentum exponential and logarithmic functions,
and trigonometry. Students also work on a variety of projects throughout the year that involve real-world
Math and Technology.
