COURSE NAME: American History Through Film

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Maple Hill High School - Schodack Central School District

MAXIMUM TOTAL CLASS ENROLLMENT - ALL SITES: 30

COURSE PREREQUISITES: None

This variable-topics course will introduce students to selected historical themes depicted by popular film.
Students will watch and deconstruct popular historical films within the larger context of scholarly analysis of
a particular historic period or event.

The medium of film will be used to generate discussion and to increase comprehension and understanding of
these events/time periods as well as their impact on the world that we live in today.
