COURSE NAME: Computer Science - JAVA How to Program

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Completed Integrated Algebra Regents


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This course is designed to attain four major goals:

1) to enable the students to become "computer literate,"

2) to enrich the student's mathematical background
by using the computer as a tool in mathematical applications,

3) to introduce the student to a structured approach in programming the JAVA language;

4) to introduce the student to software that can be used as a tool to improve or enhance other areas of
learning.


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Final exam: school.

Laptops need to be made available for receiving schools.
