COURSE NAME: Criminology (Sociology 211)

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Adirondack Community College (@ Fort Edward)

HALF YEAR (Spring)

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Principles of Sociology (Sociology 101)

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: A survey of various schools of thought in criminology with emphasis
on theories and studies relating to causation of delinquency and crime. Analysis of methods used in
prevention and control of delinquency and crime.


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Lecture: 3 hrs. Credit: 3hrs.
(Class will be for three (3) college credits from ACC).
