COURSE PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of
Japanese Language and Culture I
BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This is a continuation of
the Japanese Language and Culture I
course covering the topics of calendar and dates, school schedules
and classes, wants, health, descriptions
of activities and places, asking permission, making polite requests,
shopping, sports in Japan, celebrating
holidays and giving and receiving presents. A more in depth look
at grammar and culture is provided.
Upon successful completion students will be able
to read and write the katakana alphabet, add 50 new kanji
to their repertoire and strengthen their hiragana alphabet skills.
OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS:
Juniors and Seniors may take this course for 3 HVCC credits. Some
additional work is required for HVCC credit.
