BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE:
This is a fun, fast paced entry level course
covering the basics of the Japanese language and culture.
Topics and culture covered include greetings, family, numbers,
colors, everyday activities, school, food,
physical descriptions of oneself and others, likes and dislikes,
skills and weaknesses, time, and transportation.
This is an interactive course that upon successful
completion will provide students with the ability to greet,
introduce themselves and family, discuss their daily routines
and experiences and write short notes to
teachers and friends in present and past tenses. By the end of
the course, students will be able to read and
write the hiragana alphabet as well as 50 kanji
OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS:
Juniors and Seniors may take this course for 3 HVCC credits. Some
additional work is required for HVCC credit
