COURSE NAME: Meteorology

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Class is for juniors and seniors.


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE:

Meteorology is the study of Earth's atmosphere and weather. So buckle your seat belts and batten down the
hatches as we prepare to be blown away by the study of the Earth's most severe weather. We will study
thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes as well as the basic principles of weather data collection and
forecasting. We will watch the daily weather forecast from accuweather.com and the DVD series "Raging
Planet" from Discovery Channel to experience weather right in the classroom.
