BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This course will focus on the in-depth study of multiple political
systems and the course and evolution of the state in various forms. Also, the social contract theory and how
this philosophy was adopted and utilized in the American political system.

The modern political state, the interaction with individual citizens, political action groups, and how this has
shaped our nation's government will also be addressed. Varieties of political figures, landmark Supreme Court
cases, and in an in-depth discussion of the Constitution are at the center of the course.
