COURSE NAME: Social Problems 112 (UHS)

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Sociology 111 (UHS)


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: The course focuses on the application of sociological methods,
concepts, analysis and theories to the study of contemporary problems.

Both micro-level and macro-level problems will be examined. The process of defining situations as social
problems and a critical analysis of information concerning social problems will be an objective of the course.

NUMBER OF CREDITS AVAILABLE: 3 credits

APPROXIMATE TUITION FEE (PER CREDIT): $150.00 for course. Free lunch students receive class tuition free; reduced lunch students pay $75.00 for the course.
