COURSE NAME: Principles of Sociology (Sociology 101)

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Adirondack Community College (@ Fort Edward)

COURSE PREREQUISITES:

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: An introduction to primary concepts, terminology, and methods of
investigation employed in analysis of social institutions. Processes leading to social stratification, analysis of
various types of groups and their interrelationships, social class and social change, ethnic groups, problems
of population growth and development of human resources.


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Lecture: 3 hrs. Credit: 3hrs.
(Class will be for three (3) college credits from ACC).
