Distance Learning Course Description




COURSE NAME: Spanish III

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Galway

INSTRUCTOR:Diane Sartin

Full Year

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Spanish I and II


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Students take this course in their tenth grade year after
successfully completing Spanish II. Vocabulary learned is related to: personal possessions, places in the
community, sickness and illness, cinema and professions. Grammar learned is: possessive adjectives, present
progressive, negative words, imperfect progressive, past and future tenses.

Culture will be infused in the various units that we cover and related specifically to each topic. Throughout
the school year students will be assessed on their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in the target
language.


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: For this course, students are required to have a three ring binder with
dividers and will be given a textbook.
