COURSE PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of English 11 and instructor recommendation.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This is an intense course which prepares students to take the
Advanced Placement English Literature exam in May.

This course covers the same skills and reading materials as English 12. However, students will cover the
material in more depth and cover a more rigorous reading list.

A major goal is college preparation, so students will be reading and writing with college expectations in mind.

Students taking the course must take the mandated AP exam.
