COURSE PREREQUISITES:  None, though high school level biology class would be helpful.


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Topics covered - Global Decision Making, Ecosystems, Cycling of
Materials, Kinds of Ecosystems, Water, Air, Climate & Atmosphere, Land Use, Food, Hunting, NY Wildlife,
Energy Use, Waste, Population Growth, and Sustainability.

Attendance - very important!

Grading - 75% classwork, quizzes, tests, projects
25% class participation


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS:

  • SUNY Morrisville credit (3 credits) available with registration, course fees, and the completion of a
    research project or paper.
  • Meets 3rd science credit requirement
