site receives class; no more than 6 students at each receive site

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE:
Course objectives:
1. Using a thematic approach, students will explore major aspects
of the Spanish language and culture
adding to what was taught and learned in Spanish IV. Students will
read relevant works of literature in
Spanish and will incorporate their reading into creative and/or expository
pieces. Students will prepare
projects and oral presentations based on their reading.
2. Students will explore a variety of themes in Spanish. Students
will be exposed to cultures of the Hispanic
world and compare and contrast these cultures.
3. Students will hone and refine their writing and speaking skills
through written and oral presentations and
projects including proper grammatical forms.

1. Current issues in foreign press
2. Dictatorships/Politics
3. The Arts
4. Traditions
5. Native History
