COURSE NAME: AP Calculus AB

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Berne Knox Westerlo

INSTRUCTOR:Tara Cummings

FULL YEAR

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Passed Math A and B exams, PreCalculus recommended

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Calculus is the study of differentiation and integration.
This course will include concepts of limits and continuity of functions, differentiation of functions and
applications of the derivative, such as optimization problems and curve sketching, Riemann sums, definite
and indefinite integrals, and applications of integration, such as volumes of revolution.
This course requires the use of a graphing calculator. Students will take the AP Calculus AB exam in May.
