BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE:The AP European History course is an in-depth study of European
History. We will be covering material from the Italian Renaissance and Northern Renaissance (1450-1500) to
the most recent events in modern Europe. Modern issues such as the war against terrorism, the European
Economic Union, and the civil war and resulting ethnic cleansing of the former Yugoslavia.

The students will also work on test taking skills. Such skills will include essay writing and interpretation,
DBQs, and multiple-choice skills.

The goal for each student is to help in their university preparation.
