COURSE NAME: Accounting Honors SUNY UHS

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Honors Accounting is a college level course introducing accounting theory. Students are taught theory of debit and credit; accounts and special journals; the accounting cycle; accounting for notes and interest, accrued items, receivables, inventories, plant assets; and preparation of financial statements. The course uses computer assignments.

OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: The course is the same as ACC 211 Financial Accounting offered at the University of Albany. Students may choose to participate in the University in the High School program for college credit. A college fee is required, and if there is a need, financial aid is offered.
