BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Through the use of slides, guest speakers, lectures,
demonstrations, and selected readings, we will explore the multicultural art themes. This course
will interpret art trends from the late 1800's to the present time. Students will write 2 five-page
papers per semester, as well as weekly assignments and quizzes. There will also be optional
hands-on projects for extra credit.
