Distance Learning Course Description


COURSE NAME: Environmental Science

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Sharon Springs

INSTRUCTOR: Mrs. Anne Allen

FUll Year

COURSE PREREQUISITES:  1 year of any high school science

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: An issue oriented science course that involved case studies, investigations, and discussions about solving environmental problems. Topics include the study of ecosystems, water, air, atmosphere and climate, land use, energy use, and population growth. Group activities and projects will be integrated in this course.

OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Students may earn 3-college credits through SUNY Morrisville that are transferable. Students may also participate in the Regional Envirothon contests.
