Distance Learning Course Description


COURSE NAME: Honors French V / SUNYA University in the High School

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Gloversville

INSTRUCTOR: Paula J. Gifford

FULL YEAR

COURSE PREREQUISITES: 1. Successful completion of a 3 or 4 year sequence in French. and 2. Recommendation of instructor.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Honors French V continues the development of a student's proficency in the four skills: speaking, understanding, reading, and writing French. Students will be expected to perform in the language and to complete several projects. They will read authentic French literature from the classics to modern technological brochures. There will be multi-media presentations as well as individual lab-style projects. Students may choose to participate in the University in the High School program for college credit. A college fee is required, and if there is a need, financial aid is offered. All participants in this course can expect to sped a good deal of time preparing independently.
