COURSE NAME: Government and Political Science

COURSE PREREQUISITES:


BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This course will focus on the in-depth study of multiple political
systems and the course and evolution of the state in various forms. Also, the social contract theory and how
this philosophy was adopted and utilized in the American political system.

The modern political state, the interaction with individual citizens, political action groups, and how this has
shaped out nation's government will also be addressed.

A variety of political figures, landmark Supreme Court cases, and in in-depth discussion of the Constitution
are at the center of the course.


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: This class will qualify for college credit through NCCC with payment.
