COURSE NAME: Human Development

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Human Development is designed to give students an opportunity to learn about the adolescent period of the life cycle with regard to social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development and growth. Students will also learn about their roles within the family and in American society. This course will address contemporary adolescent issues as well as the challenges and choices available to them. Students will also learn about communication skills and how to interact with those around the adolescent ? peers, family, younger children and other adults. Career possibi1ities and personal characteristics necessary for careers in the human development area will be studied.
