Distance Learning Course Description


COURSE NAME: Math and Financial Applications II (FMCC)

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Mayfield

INSTRUCTOR: Ms Jill Gray

Half Year Spring

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Open to students in grades 11 and 12 who have passed the Math A Regents exam.

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This course is a specialized interdisciplinary business course that
applies mathematics to personal business situations. This course involves the application of mathematics to
the study of credit (loans and mortgages), depreciation, inventory, financial statements, insurance, stocks
and bonds.

This course is designed to prepare students for both college level business programs and to understand the
complex financial world they will encounter during their lives.

This course can fulfill part of the third year math requirement.

OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Taken in conjunction with Math and Financial Applications I, students
can possibly earn three college credits in BUS 103 through Fulton Montgomery Community College
(still pending)
