Distance Learning Course Description


COURSE NAME: Intermediate Programming in C++ (CIS 144)

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Adirondack Community College at Fort Edward

INSTRUCTOR:

Half Year Spring

COURSE PREREQUISITES: CIS 143 (grade C or better).

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: A continuation of CIS 143. Topics include top-down design,
problem-solving strategies, recursion, array, struct and string processing, pointers, linked lists,
searching and sorting, files, libraries and project files, the use of debugging tools, and an introduction to
classes and object-oriented programming.


OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Lecture: 2 hrs. Lab: 2 hrs. Credit: 3hrs.
(Class will be for three (3) college credits from ACC).
