BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This is an advanced-level course that follows the 3rd year Regents
course in high school. College credit is available with the payment of a fee to North Country Community
College.

Course objectives are the improvement of students' oral and written expression of the language through

sustained listening and speaking practice and a variety of reading and writing assignments and exercises.
Emphasis is placed on current pronunciation and a deeper understanding of Hispanic culture and history.

OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Course grade is determined by the student's facility with speaking,
vocabulary and grammar quizzes, homework assignments, and unit exams.
