Distance Learning Course Description


COURSE NAME: Spanish V (University in the High School)

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Broadalbin Perth

INSTRUCTOR: Loraine Porter

FULL YEAR

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Spanish I, II, III and IV (for UIH: Must have passed Regents Exam)

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: A more advanced course of communication (conversation
and composition). When appropriate, modern literature, films, art and/or music will be used as sources.
Cable TV and Internet also offer a wealth of pertinent information in Spanish. Conversation will flow
from discussion of current topics viewed and/or read in class. Grammar and vocabulary will also be derived
as needed to study these genres.

OTHER NOTES: Grades 11-12 Course may be taken for University in the High School credit (4 credits)
from the University at Albany by paying a fee of $120 (subject to change, discounted with reduced free
lunch).
