COURSE NAME: Spanish V - (University in High School)

SCHOOL DISTRICT: Mayfield

COURSE PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of Spanish IV

BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: This "Intermediate Composition and Conversation II" class includes a
review of grammar, in-depth cultural studies, creative and expository writing, and basic literary analysis.

Literature is used as a springboard for oral and written communication. Students write journals, short
research reports and persuasive essays, make oral presentations, listen to radio and TV broadcasts and full
length films, and use the language in another subject area, such as science and social studies.

Skills in speaking in all types of situation are emphasized. Students may earn college credit through the
University in High School Program at the University at Albany.
