BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION / OUTLINE: Objective: During this full year senior elective course students will
experience the terrors and the triumphs of the 20th Century through literary works, video and audio
selections, compiled data regarding everyday lifestyle throughout the century, art and music. Students
will follow a decade-by-decade "tour" of the events and issues of the American life between 1900 and 1999.

OTHER NOTES / MISCELLANEOUS: Evaluation: Grades will be based on class participation as well as several
projects. The projects will vary by quarter and will be evaluated based on accuracy and creativity.
