  • More than 25 courses that are new to the DL network have been added just this year.
  • More that 80 courses are offered with the option of college credit.
  • More that 25 Advance Placement courses are offered.
  • Students participated in two different summer school programs via distance learning during the summer 2012. Courses were offered from 8:00 in the morning to 6:00 at night.

  • The entire Boces Distance Learning Network is being upgraded to HD Video and Audio for the 2013 - 2014 school year.

  • Four new, completely high definition Distance Learning rooms have been installed and integrated into the
network. Galway's high definition room is in addition to their older, standard definition room. Middleburgh
has replaced their flood damaged room with a new HD facility. Columbia H.S., in East Greenbush and
Salmon River H.S., just a few miles from the Canadian border, are both new to the DL program.

  • A videoconferencing gateway at the Regional Distance Learning Support Facility, allows schools to use their Distance Learning classrooms to connect to anyone across the country or world that has basic IP videoconferencing equipment (for electronic field trips, discussions with experts in a particular field, and college courses).

  • Most Distance Learning schools are using the distance learning network for data services as well, including Internet access and library automation.
