Marine Science classes are connecting to a laboratory in Florida. Meteorology classes are connecting to scientists in Ohio.

It is possible to connect your distance learning class to almost anywhere in the world that has video conferencing capabilites.

Professional Development programs offered via the Distance Learning Network offer expanded opportunities as well as convenience and savings. The need to travel between districts or regions can often be eliminated. Participating in a training, seminar or workshop that is being hosted in another part of the state can become much easier using DL.

Model Schools Workshops, National Board Certification Awareness Programs, and Bus Driver Training are just some of the many types of professional development that can be offered via DL.

By using its partnership in instructional technology with schools in northeastern New York, WSWHE BOCES is able to provide a more convenient and cost saving way for transportation staff to attend training programs and fulfill their state requirements. For more information
see: Additional Bus Driver Training Information

A DL Flier designed to provide information about distance learning to students is now available in addition to a DL Program Poster.

The fliers are custom made for each school on the network, can be downloaded (as either Microsoft Word documents or Adobe .pdf files) and easily printed.

The poster is in the form of a .jpg image, also easily downloaded and printed.
